Santa Pictures

My mom took my kiddos and got new Santa Pictures done by our wonderful daycare photographer Terry Barnard! He hosted a Christmas party and had a Christmas set complete with a real Santa for kids pics!!! I am so excited and they did Soooooo much better than they would have if I was there! Mom said SaraKate was crying up until the pictures were snapped but you can't tell.

Its begining to look alot like Christmas!!!

I am full swing into the the Christmas spirit! We took the kids downtown to Victoria Christmas Friday night and got tried to get pictures taken with Santa. SaraKate was distracted by EVERYTHING and Bryson would not look at the camera, so here is what we got....
But we did have a lot of fun as a family! We took a carriage ride, ate lots of good food, and just spent time together.

Bundled up on the Carriage ride
(SaraKate was sacked out in the Sleepy Wrap)

Yesterday Gerald and I bundled Bryson up to take him hunting for the first time! We got him all excited, got out of the car, walked 200 yards from the truck (not even making it to the stand) and Gerald killed an 8 point. Bryson was excited about the deer but upset about not getting to hunt for very long. I told him we would try again this coming weekend.

Oliver's Labels - Reveiw

SaraKate is in daycare and as many of you working mommy's know day cares lose things. They lose clothes, they lose bottles, they lose shoes, and most of the time its not entirely their fault because we mommys have similar tastes in clothes, bottles, and shoes! That is where Oliver's Labels come in handy! Oliver's Labels was created by Debbie and aunt trying to keep her nephew from losing all his stuff.
I was chosen by Oliver's Labels to review their labels and to be honest I could not have been more happy! Their labels are clean, Professional, Cute, and most of all They Work!!!! Oliver's Labels sent me  4 Original Labels, 5 mini labels, 2 shoe labels, and 5 Stick-eez Clothing Labels.
Sorry I forgot to take a picture until after I started using them!!!!

The first ones I tried out were the Mini Labels because they are the perfect size for SaraKate's bottles. They are so cute and they fit prefect. Theses labels are dishwasher, microwave, fridge and outdoor safe. They stick to anything and they STAY!!!

My next try out were the shoe labels. I am FOREVER coming home without SaraKate's shoes because at least 3 of the little girls in her daycare class have the exact same pair and size of shoes. These labels fit perfectly inside her little shoes.
Shoe Labels are specially designed to stick inside the heel of a shoe. They come in right and left foot shapes and unlike other shoe labels, they’re built so durable that you don't need to stick a protective label on top.  They are waterproof, weather-proof, scuff-proof, tear-resistant, high-performance vinyl with super-strong adhesive and high quality, full-color printing. Made to be long-lasting inside shoes.

My next and most Favorite labels was the Stick-ez clothing labels. These are the perfect fit for the tag inside your children's clothing and the best part is since they aren't iron on you can take them off when you are ready to pass your clothes along to your next child.

If you are looking for an excellent, beautiful, and durable label please check out Oliver's Labels.

Another year older....

I acctually forgot today was my birthday!! I was sitting at home feeding SaraKate her bottle at 7:00am when my phone rang, as soon as I saw that it was my Dad and Step-mom calling I started imagining all sorts of bad things had happened! I picked up the phone imaging the worst only to hear my little sister say "Happy Birthday Sissy". OMG did I really forget my birthday....I wake up bright and early on the 6th of every month and think "today my baby is x months old" but I don't even remember my own birthday???? Birthdays used to be the best day in my whole year, I used to count down the days but somehow as I have gotten older and had my babies I have started counting down the weeks and days to their birthdays and forgetting my own.
I am 27 years old today....Another year has past. I am inching closer and closer to 30, but you know what....30 doesn't seem near as old as it did when I turned 21. At 21 I was dreading 30 but now at 27 I am looking forward to 30. At 21 I thought I knew everything but it turns out I knew NOTHING!!!! I feel at 27 like I know alot but I still have so much more to learn. So today is my birthday and ya know what???? Its just another day to learn more that I knew yesterday!

FALL IS HERE!!!
Just in case you can't tell I LOVE FALL!!! The cool weather, the fall festives here locally, and most importantly the holidays! This is my favorite time of year!!!!

Monday, November 1, 2010

*sniff* *cough* *achoo* These are the sounds of fall.

I love fall! The cooler temps just lift my spirits...but....It also puts the kids’ allergies into overdrive!!! My poor little ones are coughing, sneezing, and sniffling non-stop. Poor SaraKate woke up so many times before midnight from coughing that I finally gave up and put her in bed with us. She still coughed and woke up but at least she went right back to sleep. I know that she is just coughing from the drainage but I feel so bad for her. The last time she did this her doctor told me to give her benedryll before bed to dry it all up so I guess thats what we will do tonight. As much as I love the fall weather I wish what ever is blooming and making my babies so miserable would just go away!!!!

Worry is the opposite of Faith

"Worry is the opposite of Faith"
This is a comment that has stuck with me this week. My Pastor said these words in his sermon on Sunday and I can't seem to stop thinking about it. I don't worry....I AM A WORRIER!!! There is a difference! I worry about mundane things all the way up to really big things I have no way of controlling. I don't know how NOT to worry. I never even considered that when I worried it was like I was questioning GOD. To worry is like saying that I don't have faith in him...like I don't trust him. So my mission is to stop worrying! I know it is not going to be easy and I know without GOD I can't do it, but I trust, I believe, and I CAN do it with GOD. So stop worrying and pray with me!

Ever Just wanna Run????

Working Mamas do you ever just want to grab your purse, sneak out of you office, run to your car, race to the daycare/babysitter, grab you kids, and go home???? Not because you are having a bad day.... not because your sick......not because they are sick..... JUST TO PLAY!!!! I plan it out in my mind sometimes...but then reality sets back in and I know I would never do it. I'm too dependable...I'd feel too guilty....so here I sit...in my cubicle....planning my next attack!!!!

And here is a picture of my princess b/c no post is ever complete without a picture!

We have a crawler!!! She started crawling yesterday a month younger than her brother was when he started crawling. The funny thing is she WILL NOT crawl without babylegs on!!! She scooted around on the carpet for over 15 mins last night but wouldn't get on her knees until I put Babylegs on her then she was everywhere! Here is a video of her crawling for the first time.

Babywearing Is A Passion

Babywearing is a passion, its a life style, and in my opinion it is wonderful!!! I wore my first child in a leg dangler for a few weeks but it KILLED my back! Then when I was pregnant with SaraKate I was exposed to REAL babywearing and instantly fell in LOVE!!!

The first sling I bought was a bag sling (big no no!!) It was recalled within a week of my purchase! I only wore her in it once b/c it just felt wrong! She was a teeny 6lbs 14oz at a month old and I could barely see her face when she was in the sling. Once it was recalled I started searching for a better safer sling and/or wrap and I found the Sleepy Wrap. This was it this was what I was searching for here was a way to hold my baby, love my baby, and still have my hands free to hold, calm, and interact with My 3 yr old!

We were happy with our Sleepy Wrap for a while but the bigger she got and the hotter it got the more I wanted a new carrier. Again I got on the wonderful internet and started searching I decided on a Mei Tai. I carry her everywhere and anywhere in my Mei Tai and I still use my Sleepywrap especially now that it is getting colder! I HIGHLY recommend baby wearing!

Wonderful Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend! Gerald is trying to teach Bryson to play golf. It is interesting to say the least! Bryson plays golf like any 3 yr old, he swings his club at trees, roots, and occasionally at the ball. It is too cute to watch! So Saturday Gerald took Bryson golfing alone. They had to go to Wal-Mart first for new balls and a teeny tiny golfing glove for Bryson. Bry called me from Wal-Mart to tell me that "Me and Daddy was cooping out the babes"...LOL!!! They then went on to the golf course and Gerald said they had fun, Bryson was really good, and "they" played 18 holes. Bryson came home happy and tired so mommy was happy!
Yesterday we had a lazy morning and around noon Gerald suggested that we go play golf as a family. So we all loaded up and headed to the golf course. We met up with my mom and stepdad and played 9 holes. Let me stop and say that I don't golf. I happily ride the golf cart wearing SaraKate in the mei-tai and watch...well yesterday Gerald had other ideas. He said since mom was there and could hold SaraKate I could play a hole or two. OK....I played 1 hole...it was a par 5 and I shot a 14.....oh yeah 9 over par...LOL I crawled my happy slef back into the cart and rode on. I don't think I will be the next golf  super star...LOL.
Here are a few of us golfing a few weeks ago....I am a bad mommy and didn't take pics yesterday!

Mommy and Me Monday

I saw the mommy and Me Monday post on a friends blog and decided to join in as there are very few pictures of me and my little ones unless it is one of the cheesy self taken pictures on my blackberry. LOL

Here is a picture of Me and Bryson at my office skating party last week.

Who am I

If I seem a little new at this it is probably because I am. This is my first blog and you are reading my first post! I am Brittni a married mother of two. I was born, raised, and still reside in a small south Georgia town. Four years ago I met my husband Gerald while he was serving in the United States Airforce. We met, fell in love, and were married in 4 short months! I know it was kinda fast but thats just the way things worked out.

Soon after we were married we welcomed our son Bryson.

He was the light of our lives but we knew there was still something missing and a little over 6 months ago we welcomed our daughter SaraKate into the world.

For now we are complete, yes I said for now because who knows what life has in store for our family. Welcome to my life as a busy working mama of two.
